  • I visited the Art of Ice Cream Experience on 11/26. They opened to the public on 11/24 so they're still very new with lots of room to improve. First impression was weird. We weren't greeted or given any kind of explanation of how things worked. The employees took our tickets and we just stood in the lobby waiting for instructions on what to do...it never happened. Finally we asked if we were supposed to wait or just go in. They told us to go in whenever. I follow them on Instagram so I knew the entrance was the freezer door but others could easily be confused and go in through the exit. Employees had no enthusiasm and seemed shy like they did not want to be there. The flow of the experience also isn't the clearest. At one point you either have to go left upstairs or right down a hall. No arrows or employees telling you which way to go. We just wandered around aimlessly until we figured it out on our own. The treats were kinda sad too. They had frozen bonbons from Trader Joe's in the lobby, freeze pops in the popsicle room, banana runts in the banana split room. We found a tray of ice cream sandwiches sitting on the counter in the milkshake room which were actually pretty good! At the end they had the typical ice cream sandwiches you buy at the grocery store in the white wrappers along with some other generic ice cream bar. I read online that they had a full sundae bar at the end, but they didn't. It would be really nice to see products from local ice cream shops here instead of the typical ice cream bars you can buy in the freezer section at any grocery store! We had fun taking pictures but I definitely didn't think it was worth the $25 ticket price. ***I did go to the Musuem of Ice Cream in LA so I compared my experience there with this place since they are exactly the same concept.
