I used to be a professional nail tech. I needed a quick manicure before a meeting and I found this salon through Yelp when I was in that area. I walked in at 3:04 PM. I was expecting to spend 15 minutes for a mani. I could tell my manicurist is very new in nail industry by looking at the way she handles her tools and speed. I have been a newbie when I first started nails so I tried to be nice to her. While she was applying the first coat of nail polish, I couldn't stand it. I asked her to have someone else to handle the rest part of job. Because it was going to take forever and I was sure I would not like the result. I have done nails for 5 years so I am very picky. She insisted she will do the rest and the polish will look better. So I let her do. When polish job was done it was 4:04 pm. I sat there for an hour with her for a regular manicure. The salon owner was sitting at another table getting his nails done. He did not seem care about business. No one asked if I was happy with the service. Polish looks uneven and thick. I would do better job myself. Why would I spend $15 for a manicure that takes 1 hour. I would rather do myself at home if that was going to take so long. My time is money. I am paying for a service to save my time. I was hoping to get polish job by someone else who was more experienced. I just can't believe she refused my request and kept going.
