Came here while I was in town with girlfriends. My friend is married to a Cuban mad so we figured we'd eat Cuban food! To my surprise, my friend had already eaten at this restaurant with her hubby!
I had ordered a beef empanada for appetizer and the Cuban sandwich for my main dish. I really wanted to order the ropa vieja but had a bad experience ordering this dish with Porto's in LA.
The beef empanada was tasty but a little too greasy for me. The Cuban sandwich was great. This fulfilled my sandwich craving. The pork, ham, cheese and pickle blended well together and the bread was nicely done. I had the opportunity to get a couple bites of the ropa vieja and I regretted the fact that I didn't order it! It was cooked to perfection.
I would return to this restaurant. Service was up to par. Only thing that bothered me were the flies that kept flying around our table.
