  • We attended as a family, looking for a way to diversify from traditional landlording into a family business of owning and running a RALF...and to create a space for US personally in the future when we need it. The event was well-coordinated, the instructors/speakers were uniformly excellent with excellent info (not always the case at some of these things) and the facilities and food were also good, which is a bonus. Touring real, live, operational homes as well as one that was just about to open its doors was truly eye-opening and much more enlightening than just receiving the info in written form or via death by slides. We are jumping into this full-bore, waiting on contract ratification on a home right now. We will elect to purchase the extra hand-holding and materials offered (but not pushed) at the Academy - to "pay for speed" in order to get going quickly and to avoid mis-steps. Highly recommended.
