  • I wish I could give "no stars". I was referred to Best Friends for grooming by 2 different neighbors. I took my Havanese there twice and they did a good job. I took him back after 6 weeks for another scissor cut. I asked to pick him up at 3:00 and he was not ready until after 4:30. When they brought him out, I didn't recognize him. They completely shaved him leaving him looking pink because he was shaved down to his skin. The staff at the desk said he was matted and that's why they did it. Completely untrue. He is a puppy, groomed regularly, and had absolutely no mats - not even close. Havanese have beautiful eyelashes and they cut them off completely. I don't know how any dog's eyelashes can get matted. I was shocked and sad but I did pay the bill which was $10 more than before. We called to complain and all they said was it will grow back. Same comment about eyelashes. They will grow back. The staff was rude and made absolutely no attempt to appease us. They did offer a discount for the next time. There will never be a next time. Best Friends is the worst experience I have had with any pet - ever.
