I had a prescription for compression stockings. I went to Freedom Medical Supply. A lady measured my leg, then sold me a pair of size C.
I wore them for a few hours around the house, and a quick trip to dry cleaner. They didn't feel especially supportive, so I looked at the sizing chart on the box. I found that I am a size B, not a size C. I took them back to the store, expecting an even exchange. I was told they could not be returned because they had been worn and there was a tiny black spot on one. They did offer me a "generous" discount on a new pair--$5.00. I am not satisfied. Yes, they were worn once. How else would I have known I had been sold the wrong size? It was their mistake. I think they should have taken greater responsibility.
