When it comes to gambling this is the place you don't want to be. The crowd here is definitely drawn in as a result of the glitzy name and not much else. My most recent visit was this past Thursday and will probably be my last time gambling at this casino.
My first issue was at the blackjack table. The dealers are fine with players using their phones to text and even make calls during a hand because why not, rules don't matter here. This is a great bonus to those people who want to multitask while you're sitting next to them trying to play your hand. The other issue is that cocktail waitresses don't come around ever, no matter how many times you ask. I had a waitress come by after 45 minutes of complaining to the pit boss and when she finally brought my beer 20 minutes later, I already got my own drink. She told me I'm not allowed to have two drinks and said she would come by later to drop it off. Ten minutes later we see her in street clothes walking away as though she obviously clocked out and was done for the day. Even the pit boss Craig said that it was embarrassing and he has no excuses for it. Sadly, this inability to get a drink has happened to me every time I've sat at a blackjack table at Caesars.
The main issue that is the reason I'm writing this review is the poker room. Floorman John Hayward is the worst floorman I've ever seen. There were belligerently drunk players sitting at our table making threats and insults and repeating racist and anti Semitic comments and the floor man did nothing to stop or resolve the situation. Every time it was brought to his attention he only acknowledged and then walked away. This was terrible to endure and honestly, the Venetian and bellagio both have way more action than the dingy Caesars poker room. They had to have multiple tables short handed instead of combining them just so they could collect more rake. It's sad that the Caesar resort is luxurious in their accommodations but it stops there as the casino itself is more suitable for you more undesirable crowd. Hopefully the floorman Mr. Hayward soon realizes that his ability to control the room is less than adequate for the job he's been given. Perhaps he would be better serving drinks at the blackjack table. It does seem like they are short handed.
