Came here on a Saturday just before the big lunch rush and wasn't disappointed. I was impressed with the extensive menu options despite the fact that Wisconsin may not be known for its ramen shops! All of the waitstaff was extremely pleasant and it seemed like a very "hipster" place. Service got a little slow near the lunchtime rush but that wasn't their faults. I was impressed with the vegan, vegetarian, and regular options. Started off with the Thai milk tea. I wasn't a huge fan of it because it seemed overall too creamy without a strong flavor at all.
Next we had the bacon omurice and the brunch ramen. I think part of my 5 star review is that you can't go wrong with bacon. The omurice was very simple in itself. It was nice egg surrounding some rice that consisted of just rice and bacon - very simple but hearty because bacon and bacon fat is delicious.
The brunch ramen was great! I've heard complaints of it being too thin because the brunch broth base does not have any pork, but it was surprisingly savory and perfect for lunch. There was also bacon in it, but the standouts were the bamboo, egg, and pork belly. The pork belly was very very tender and the ramen consisted of all my favorite toppings. The ramen was came out to be a little pricey (there have been better for less - but it's a great little spot in Madison!
