Spring! Spring at the DBG! Spring in the desert is one of my favorite times of the year to visit the Gardens..
Even though those of you from the cold north country believe we don't have seasons here, don't tell our plants and wildlife. The ebb and flow of the seasons is magically pronounced at the DBG. Right now - late April - the Wildflower Garden is still lingering in full bloom. The bees and butterflies, I am sure, are happiest at this time of year. The variety of plants in the Garden - yes, including the cactus and succulents - blooming or getting ready to bloom is a treat for the eyes.. New life is all around as you stroll though the Garden. Take your time. Don't miss a thing.
Bit of Advice: Go early in the day. Make it a day. Have lunch at the Garden. Afternoons in late April are beginning to get toasty, so be sure and bring a hat.
