| - I too, am a teeny bit shocked at the numerous five star reviews. Is this the only nail salon in this area?
I recently started weekly meetings in this area, and was hoping I could pop in here occasionally when I needed my nails done....
The salon had an incredibly strong, odorous smell upon entering and it lingered with me the entire 40 minutes of my gel manicure.,
I can't describe the smell, but I definitely think a good, hard vent scrubbing and air filter change are in order, along with freshening up the baseboards and paint.
Trina's has been in business for 12 years, so they must be doing something right. The interior needs to be deep cleaned and possibly some of the equipment replaced. Everyone I spoke with was very nice and the two ladies I had actual contact with, were very pleasant to me. This salon is $5 less for a gel manicure than my usual location, but the atmosphere isn't worth the $5 savings. They had "sports bar" style TV's on the walls, catering mainly to pedicure guests, and all with no sound. Music was playing when I first arrived, but ended shortly thereafter and no one reset the cassette deck.. Insert crickets.... My gel manicure seems fine after 24 hours, so no complaints about that.....
*****OH!!!! They charge 99cents to use a debit or credit card!! She didn't tell me that up front, and that's the (silly) thing that will keep me from returning... ******
So, I guess it was actually only $4 less than my usual place, which I now realize, I am spoiled by...
