I purchased six clothing items last week and noticed when I got home that a security tag was still affixed to a jacket. My dear husband offered to return to the store to have it removed ~ which was wonderful because we don't live near Stein Mart. Three days later, I discovered that a blouse also had a security tag still affixed. So the sales clerk failed to see and remove TWO tags!
I emailed the corporate office to see if there was a work-around to safely remove the tag myself, but haven't received a response. I called Stein Mart customer service and was told my only recourse was to drive all the way back to the store; the customer service rep offered no apology for this inconvenience, BTW.
It's this kind of poor service that makes me just want to order everything online.
