| - Overall, not a good experience but I will start with the positive. Pros: showroom was clean, salesmen were pretty friendly and cars that I was shown appeared to be in good shape. Cons: well, I experienced 1 big one: unscrupulous practices involving overcharging. I wandered into their lot a couple days ago after a "bait and switch" at another lot nearby. Salesman outside was busy and summoned someone to help me right away. I explained my situation and was shown 3 cars. One seemed to have the wrong key so we could not start it and decided to focus on the other 2. I tried to ask repeatedly about the prices since they were not posted and was told " i dont know" and "depends on your situation, if the bank charges us higher fees and stuff then it can be more or less". So, apparently different people are charged different amounts for the same vehicle which isnt cool. Interest varies but the principle price should not. While they did "the numbers" on the car they said would be in my budget, I googled the car (a 2008 Hyundai Accent) and found a "suggested retail price" (via KBB) of approx. $7,100. When they returned, they showed me a price of $9,995 (which is over $2,000 more than they are advertising this very vehicle for on their own website and almost $3,000 more than the MSRP on KBB!) I asked why it was so high and was told it included "title fees", since when are title fees a couple grand??? Anyway, the salesman said with $3,000 down, my payment would be approx. $271 a month for 4 years- in other words- I would be paying over $16,000 for the car! No thanks. Left disappointed and empty handed.
