  • I had been wanting to check out Kid Cashew for a while and I had the opportunity to attend Brunch this past Saturday. Loved the décor and the look of the outside patio. I was there for a Bachelorette Brunch and we had a group of 9. The restaurant was busy but it wasn't slammed. I ordered a Bloody Mary which was great. Everyone else at the table ordered Carafes of Mimosas which i was told were delish. I wasn't super hungry so I just ordered the Crab Cake Benedict after asking for a recommendation b/t that and the Shrimp and Grits. Food came out in a somewhat reasonable time for a large table. My Crab Cake Benedict was just OK...I really hate to say that b/c I am usually ok with whatever, and maybe I had built up the experience in my head a little, but it wasn't anything special. It lacked seasoning. I asked for salt and pepper (and was given a look) and that helped some. Also the yoke had cooked a little more that I would have liked but that probably had more to do with we were being proper and waiting for everyone's food to arrive and one took a few mins longer than the rest of the table. The Bachelorette ordered the French toast and it was pretty close to burnt. My biggest disappointment with my experience at Kid Cashew was the service. Our server was not very friendly and almost seemed annoyed to be there or maybe it was that she had a party of nine...I don't know. She got snippy with a few of us, gave me a look when I asked for salt and pepper and I don't think she smiled the entire time. Everyone at the table but myself shared the mimosa carafe's, they brought out wine glasses for the rest of the table but forgot one. She was asked for another glass. Someone else asked not realizing it had already been mentioned. Her response was "I KNOW!" As we walked out everyone had a comment about how unpleasant she was. I don't know that being a server is this particular person's calling. Overall I left feeling Meh. At some point I will give it another try but I won't be running back.
