I've been coming to this AAA office for years. I use to pick up maps and guide books. You can still do that, but most of us aren't using those anymore. Also, theme park tickets, but most of those are online too. So what's this review about? The car buying service.
We specified the type of car we were interested in and then selected some models to see. Five SUV's from competing manufacturers were lined up for us to view and test drive at our appointment. We were allowed to inspect and drive unsupervised. We spent well over an hour doing so. Once we made a decision, went went about the specifics of ordering a car with the precise options desired.
The pricing was reasonable. Some interesting facts about relative repair cost, etc, were shared. A sales pitch for an extended warranty and AAA auto repair was the only aspect of the transaction that resembled visiting an auto dealership. They'll even deliver the car and do paperwork at your home if you desire.
Could you possibly negotiate a lower price? Sure, but the price is fair, which is not always the case at an auto dealership. Using AAA is high in convenience and low in hassle.
