  • Just got back from a trip to Vegas, stayed at the Paris for 3 nights. We were upgraded to a "p" room which meant we had a great view on a high floor with extra space - it was very much appreciated! We checked in around 9pm on a Thursday, 3 people working and if we had walked in a minute later, would have been in line for more than half an hour. Glad we beat the rush! Make sure to check your email before checking out as that was a nightmare, and they do offer an online checkout option. Pros: - Spacious room, quiet, air conditioning worked great, bed was pretty comfortable too. - I love that there are designated elevators for a smaller number of floors - this definitely helped with not having to pick up half the hotel every time on the way down from floor 29! - The lobby/casino is very cute and adds a great ambience - Location, location, location! Right next to the Miracle Mile Shops, across from the Bellagio, right in the middle of the strip. CVS is a short 5 minute walk as well, would recommend stocking up on waters and drinks there as the hotel charges about $8 for a bottle. - Large pool with plenty of lounge chairs and sun all day. (no hot tub though) Cons: - Plan to use Uber? They'll make you walk around the hotel to the north (back) entrance, down the side of the hotel (walking towards Caesar's Palace, turn right after the Mon Ami Gabi restaurant). The taxi concierge recommended we use a private car when we wanted to go to Fremont Street and there were 6 of us - would have been $55 one way! One uber was $15 for comparison. - Pool was extremely dirty from hairs floating in the pool and the murky sunscreen-and cigarette ash-filled water (seriously, does it even have a filter?) I understand that some people come to Vegas for a smoking holiday, but sitting on the steps chain smoking and flicking ash into the pool should at the very least, be discouraged. I asked a poolside waitress if that was allowed and she literally shrugged and walked off. Dirty, cast-off towels were strewn all about the entire pool area as well, no staff were there to clean them up so it only adds to the general run-down aesthetic. - Poolside drinks were definitely price-gouged. $16 for a watered-down frozen margarita out of a machine? The food was terrible as well, with very little to choose from. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Paris and was impressed with its incredibly central location. I loved being across from the Bellagio and if you are offered an upgrade, I would take it so you can see the fountain show from your room! Being right next to the Miracle Mile shops and Cabo Wabo was great as well. Would definitely recommend unless you're going to Vegas to strictly hang by the pool!
