| - A "ghost town" is a concept that Americans invented to transform an abandoned village in a touristic place.
Anyway, Rhyolite was an interesting place to visit, specially for understand the History of early mining towns. I can't say the same about the open air "art" museum located just few feets before arrive the ghost town. Totally absurd, and this is surely its charm.
Should you visit Rhyolite? Well, if you are driving around Beatty's area, it will take you just ten minutes and, for sure, is much more interesting than "the largest candy store in Nevada" (Death Valley Nut and Candy CO." And the views are amazing, by the way, but, ey!, it's Death Valley, all the views are amazing. But, if you are not looking for documentation for your thesis about Ghost Cities in Nevada, don't plan a full road trip just to visit Rhyolite.
