A few days ago, I was reviewing my favorite Baklava place in the east end (Patisserie Royale in Scarborough) and came across Joey C's review. He liked Baklawa King better than Patisserie Royale so I knew I had to try it whenever I find in Mississauga next. And that I did, last night.
I fully agree with him that Baklawa King is first-rate. However, I liked both of them very much. I'm not sure if I'll pick one or the other. Patisserie Royale being a little less sweet may suit someone's taste buds better than others. People with sweet tooth may prefer Baklawa King over it's eastern nemesis. It all comes down to choice, where you live and how far you are willing to drive to lay your hands on your favourite baklava.
But I liked both of them better than Serano's, Mamajoun's, Arz Fine Foods' and Athena bakery's.
I purchased 12 pieces (2 pieces each of 6 different ones) and it costed me a total of 13.50$.
