| - Most of these people complaining just didn't actually read what they were getting into. Charging for bags, drinks, seats etc it's all included in regular airline fees which is why it's more expensive...but if you don't need all that, then why pay for it?! Now, I've only flown with Spirit one time which was just this past weekend, but I had a rather enjoyable experience without any additional hidden costs. The only issue I had was that I didn't realize prices for baggage goes up as it gets closer to departure...but I caught it when it had only gone up about $10. Despite paying for the bag, and a few bucks to sit together, we still came out less than the standard airlines. And if it weren't for my friend overpacking for a 2 day trip we probably wouldn't have even needed baggage! Seriously, when flights are so much cheaper than others, you have to wonder why. It seems other airlines are also taking this base fare approach. And I have to say, the staff was pretty entertaining, boarding/deplaning was incredibly fast (full flights too), and we arrived ahead of schedule both ways!
