  • We're from Illinois and had a great experience with Katie Shook and RedFin in buying our retirement home in Arizona. We did our homework on RedFin, liked their model, their app, and what we read. We contacted Katie a year prior to our search. She occasionally contacted us throughout the year but was never annoying or pushy unlike a few other groups we experienced. When we finally flew out, Katie accommodated our limited schedule, knowledgeably answered our endless questions and responded in a reasonable amount of time with email, text and calls. When she couldn't be available for a last minute request by us, a member of her team stepped in. She helped us craft a winning offer on a hot home with at least 3 other bids in 48 hours. We found the best inspectors through her and RedFin's relationships. She pointed out a negotiable item on our contract and made it happen. She Skyped the final walk-thru with us when we had to be back in Illinois. The RedFin refund was applied to our closing costs. Being an out of state buyer has its issues, but putting our trust in Katie and RedFin made the process less stressful.
