Its funny how we found this place. As we were leaving one of our favorite Authentic Chinese spots next door, we were craving some dessert. We peer into the window at Ice Lab and see what appears to be a ice cream/coffee cafe (reminding me of my travels in South Korea). We are then approached by nice young gentleman (the owner) who said "come in try, I guarantee you will love it!" Thats a pretty bold claim. The wife and I decided to give it a try.
We decided to try the Injeolmi snowflake. The owner goes back and begins shaving ice and adding condensed milk and caramel sauce. What emerges looks like a ice shaved volcano with almonds on top. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Mmmyyyyyyy Goossssh. Mind blown. It was like eating snow + Halo Halo (Filipino dessert) + Hawaiian Ice + Mexican Pan Dulce. But in a good way. What in tar nation are they coming up with in Korea??!? First, Hyundai, Kia, LG, Samsung, K-pop, and now this awesomeness?!??!?
So moral of the story, you need to get down here and try this place. Make it a 2 for 1. go to the Chinese place next door and order of the Authentic Taiwanese menu. Then go to Ice Lab for dessert. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.
