First time at Goyemon and only the 3rd time doing AYCE sushi in Vegas. Didn't have the luxury of Jane K or Nik O suggesting what to order this time but thankfully Chris V made some excellent suggestions.
Lots of parking in the strip mall. At around 6 most of the tables were taken but the sushi bar had space for us. Tried a couple of rolls and ordered a few appetizers at first. Noticed that the hand rolls had proportionally more rice than the larger rolls and that the larger rolls had proportionally more rice than the nigiri so ended up only ordering nigiri after that.
Highlights: maguro ahi, white tuna, and (best of all) unagi eel nigiri. The shrimp tempura was a good side but the pork belly was too fatty and the fried shumai tasted like the frozen stuff. Tried the vanilla creme (pretty good) and ice cream tempura (never again) but by then was so full we should have left already.
It probably would have been maybe $10 more per person if we ordered ala carte but honestly we would not have eaten as much so maybe AYCE sushi isn't for me. :(
