This is a small independently owned Hardware & Pool Supply store ...
First of all I love to support "moms and pops" types businesses and there is always that charming appeal of a small family run shop.
This establishment is nothing glamorous appearance wise, but it seemed to have a large quantity of items packed into a little space, which in itself is impressive.
We just happened to be walking around the Plaza and noticed this store, so we stopped in. It appears like this store may be going out of business because there was tons of sales signs everywhere and they were fairly low on product/supplies throughout the store.
I did notice even though things were on sale for 50% off many of the products seemed to be priced on the high side ... Higher than Home Depot and Amazon, so I can understand why it's hard for a small retail business like this to stay above water and be profitable enough to keep its doors open.
Sadly, corporate America seems to be taking over and independent businesses just can't compete with the big companies that can offer lower prices when buying in bulk.
Overall, in this day an age a dated retail store like this could honestly only earn a two star review from me @ best. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into a small business being a small business owner myself, but I did not really find this business to be very appealing in any sense. My experience here was merely okay/mediocre.
