I made an epic mistake before I left SF and landed in Vegas. I miscalculated the amount of coffee I brought with me!! If you are a take it or leave it coffee drinker, that's not a big deal. If you are part of the craft coffee and caffeine obsessed culture, as am I, this is a big problem!!!
That problem lead me to the solution I was searching for. I needed to find a craft coffee roaster that met my expectations. Now, if you follow me here on Yelp, you know darn well I set the bar really high. Desert Wind met and exceeded my expectations and as I mentioned to Pam (I am terrible with names, so if the owner's name is not Pam, I apologize) "you should charge way more for this coffee."
I chose the Tanzania Peaberry, simply because I love when coffee shops carry a Peaberry. I asked them to grind it for me, mentioning that I prefer the pour over brew method and they didn't even bat a lash. Clearly, these guys know their coffee and they know how to roast too!!!
I was absolutely impressed the following morning when I made my very first Desert Wind cup of coffee and I am super grateful to have found them when I needed them the most.
