Took my car in on Monday and Jesus told that EVERY brake pad on my car was bad and they need to be replaced and also new brake hardware replaced. He quoted almost $700 dollars, I told him I would talk to my husband and call back. We decided to get a second opinion from my moms family mechanic. I called back and let them know we wanted a second opinion where he was asking if it was a money issue or why we didn't want to just fix it there. I replied and told him we just wanted a second opinion. When I went to pick up my car, Jesus proceeded to tell me that he could do the fix for $200. How did it go from $700 to $200 just from saying I wanted a second opinion? I declined and stuck to my guns to taking it somewhere else. Sure enough the next day I bring it to a family mechanic and he gives me a call and let's me know front brakes are in perfect condition and back only needs to be replaced. Which would cost $180... still cheaper than the second pricing. Just be cautious, looking like I'm not the only one they tried to over charge for fixes that didn't need to be done...
