I've lived in Charlotte for a while and have only driven by this facility or lately visited as my early voting place.
But a recent exhibit there brought me inside to see more of the facility. Besides the small room in front of the pool that early voting is normally put in, there's a full size gymnasium and a pool, which is what most people know this facility for.
Additionally outside, there is a picnic shelter and a short walking trail.
In the gym, they often host exhibits as well. I was there for a woodcarving show that filled up the entire space.
So there's plenty to do at this facility that most people drive by. Check it out sometime!
