I needed a whole new door at one of my rental houses when my renter drove through the last one. I got some preliminary prices over the phone from 2 other local places and scheduled those 2 and Sears to come out the next day. The Sears guy was very nice and personable, told me I need a whole new door, then gave me what I thought was a competitive price for everything, including a new track, getting rid of the old door and reattaching the electric opener. Then he threw in a $250 discount he said I could have found on the internet! Now that was awesome. The funny thing is he kept saying "that's how we do it at Sears". Of course I said "so where do I sign" and the door was installed two days later.
The next appointment was supposed to be right after Sears but they never even showed up. When I called the third company to cancel my appointment for later that day, the guy was pretty angry and said "..well, they'll probably just be calling us to install it anyway." I mean, who says things like that? Guess I should write a review on those guys as well.
By the way, when I went on the Home Depot and Lowes websites it shows garage doors aren't available at the local stores, so I would have to place my order for the door and then it would take several months to arrive! So I didn't even consider them.
