  • I have resisted writing this review for some time....I live in the neighbourhood and have frequented this bakery often enough, willing to give just ONE more try. Well, today was my last attempt. The Service: As other Yelpers have mentioned, the staff is usually quite nice and helpful...it is the owner that makes this place unbearable. Whether she is shouting at her employees, ordering them around like mignons or belittling them in front of customers while she is cashing your order, it is too much. I cannot support an establishment that has an owner who so clearly disrespects the workers that she employes. Also, she has been rude to me on a number of occasions, making me feel as though I am inconveniencing her when I am trying to purchase food. It is just incredible how desensitized she has become to any kind of customer service. The Food: The desserts are a hit an miss. I have had delicious cheesecakes and almond croissants there, but the actual warm lunch dishes were a complete disaster...greasy, salty and almost inedible. It is so unfortunate that this owner is so careless about the environment she creates, but I will not be returning.
