A mixed bag. Hotel was pretty but we went for a movie at the pool and cocktails. So in to that.
Food was mostly snacks and the naan pizzas we had were delicious. The drink list was a solid spin on old classics, nothing really super creative but classics are classics for a reason. However in the case of the gin drink they substituted Beefeater for the Botanist on the menu. Its harder to find two gin further apart and they never mentioned it to me, I just saw the pour. In their defense, I still liked it and ordered another. The Mescale drink was "meh" and the wine I ordered they were out of and they tossed out "we don't have most of the whites" as I searched for something. Eventually I found a decent white blend but it was the third thing I ordered.
Overall a solid concept but mediocre on delivery. We sat for 5 minutes at the bar and was basically ignored by a small army of people wandering around. Once we got them engaged, service was good but as I mentioned they lacked a lot of items on the menu. I also didn't see anyone who looked like they were in charge, so if I had to guess the main issue, which explains all the other problems, was the need for a more active zoo keeper to keep the monkeys in line.
