As part of exploration of restaurant week, I found a wonderful menu submitted by Le Petite France. I was tempted by the flavors of escargot, lamb chops and the wonderful tarte tartan. I made a reservation for 5:00 on May 21. They let us know they were understaffed, so we waited for our water and beverage. The food was ordered and took time to come out.; The escarqot was just okay though the puff pastry was heavy not flakey. Poorly seasoned as well. I was happily anticipating my lamb plate, when I was somewhat surprised by my plate. Two lamb chops with veg de chef . Lamb chops placed on two each slices of green and red peppers Four tiny onion squares on the side. I called the manager over to ask why my meat looked so unappetizing. No juices coming from the lamb. No sauces that the French usually are famous for. I looked like it had been roasted the day before and was a left over. Ugg. Let us proceed to the tarte tartan, Usually prepared individually in its own puff pastry. This was a few apples over some crust you could get in supermarket pie. When I asked they said they make it like a pizza pie and cut it like that. No apologies or other staff asked about our meal. At $33.00 I would have preferred Bistro du luc , or any of the areas good food. At one star I overrated it. Good luck. Hope your other guests get better food and service.
