  • Funky fresh without being over the top. The downtown urban feel of The Beat is just right, the music, the people, the overall vibe is spot on for me. I strolled in here for an early evening to kill a little time and have a light dinner. Not a huge menu but enough to find something tasty and actually not too bad in terms unhealthy. Which was exactly what i was looking for. The service is casual but on point and very helpful with a smile. I ordered the Roasted Vegetable Wrap and for a little over $7 it was just enough to satisfy my dinner. It came with a small side of potato salad which had a unique taste i cant seem to figure out, but either way it was tasty! The music wasnt too loud, certainly not obnoxious and i really like sitting at the window and people watching. Take a friend here for coffee to catch up, pull in to do some work/homework, or simply if you do not want to sit on your couch at home and venture out into public....take your laptop/tablet and be in the downtown activity. Ill return.
