  • I love magic and I've always been fascinated by it. If you love magic, there's a show on the strip for you. Masters of Illusion is one of the more "grand" magic shows. A lot of their effects are over the top or dramatic. The good part about this is that even if you're sitting in the back, you can still get a good view. They did some pretty large-scale tricks in my show like making a woman float (as seen in the ad) but there were a couple of close up tricks too (not too many). They also made some other cool stuff disappear, but I don't want to spoil everything. ;) This show was very entertaining. One gripe I would have is that the magicians never really worked well together or played off one another. It felt like a variety show more than a "team of magicians" and so the show lacked a flow and felt clunky at times. We also haven't seen the show on CW so maybe this would have made more sense if we did? If this is your first magic show ever, it's definitely worth seeing. It's not the best magic show on the strip, but if you're in the area and manage to score cheap or free tickets, why not? It's a lot of big magic without a lot of talk (like people complain about at Penn & Teller). If you're more of a magic aficionado, I might recommend Mat Franco instead, which isn't too much further down the way and has a lot more sleight of hand tricks. I had other friends see the show at a later date and they were not as impressed as we were. They've also seen a lot of magic shows and they felt that the tricks were "obvious" and "not impressive". So take that for what you will.
