  • I've been here twice now, and the food never disappoints even during the busy lunch rush, and especially after! See most places uptown, the quality suffers after the lunch rush or they run out of items. Anywho... Valhalla is the perfect lunch spot if you're looking for something heavy to coat your stomach before after work drinks, just want a wholesome warm lunch, or want a fresh salad. I've had the lamb burger and the chicken sandwich. My husband got the seafarer sandwich and it was amazing! I love that they make their sauces in house, because I'm a sauce queen and they get five stars just off the strength of having great sauces. The food is so fresh, and you know it was made to order! The servers are attentive, and pleasant. After eating all that heavy food, you'll need to walk it down around the perimeter of Romare Bearden which is right across the street. If you're going to a Knights game, Panthers game, or out drinking this is the place to fill up before a big night. I can't wait to go back and try the wings next time, and I'll take some pics.
