| - Jeni's is amazing! Not to mention, Chagrin Falls is a very charming little place.
We went on a Saturday afternoon in the fall, and the line was still practically out the door. They have the most amazing lineup of seasonal ice cream flavors. I think Jeni believes in using local foods too, so that's another plus.
I had a sample of the lavender, and I'll def be back to try that one. Perfectly creamy with just the right amount of lavender flavor. On Saturday though, we went for a nutty flavor...
We shared a 3 scoop waffle cone with 1) salty caramel, 2) pistachio and honey, and 3) almond brittle. My bf liked almond brittle for its very subtle-yet-sweet flavor, and I really like the pistachio and honey. Salty caramel had a lot of pecans and was indeed salty!
The ice creams here perfectly creamy with just the right amount of flavor. This is the type of ice cream that I would love to eat forever. There was none of that milky, over-sugary and chemically treated ice cream that you might buy in the supermarket (that gives the lactose intolerant problems!)
I also enjoy how Jeni uses incredibly interesting flavors to make such complementary flavors, like raspberry and corn ice cream. Mmm! I can't wait to go back and try the goat cheese and cherry one, as well as the ice cream macarons that I hear are perfectly tacky, even with the ice cream (how???)
I'll be bringing my parents here when they visit!
