How is this place considered a 4 star hotel?
PROS:
- Good shower water pressure
CONS:
- Showerhead really low, if you like water hitting your chest instead of your hair (6' tall here).
- Bathtub clogged, backs up water when you take a shower.
- No cover on the drainage.
- No USB charging, anywhere. This is 2017, not 1980.
- There's a giant construction site going on NEXT DOOR that you can hear from the 14th floor.
- Soundproofing is terrible if you want to hear your neighbor's every flush.
- The freaking table CREAKS is how old it is, and they moved the lamp over a giant freaking hole.
- Furniture is chipped, and there's no sitting chair by the window that's pretty standard at most hotels.
- Asked for a King room, get a double.
- Crack in the ceiling of the room seems legit
- Hallway carpet bulges/bubbles out, indicating water damage.
- They charge $7 to print out a boarding pass? Nice nickel and diming.
- Cable TV has a lot less channels than you'd see at a Marriott.
Honestly, I should have spent my money at the Marriott, which is consistent in maintenance and unkeep. Monte Carlo was not an upgrade at all.
