| - This establishment is big on looks, but small on quality. We've given it a try twice and now know that we definitively won't go again. We recently purchased three of the individual cakes by the slice and after two bites each, we threw them away. The quality of the cake is terrible, and the frosting is the worst possible waxy synthetic version of a quality buttercream you can imagine. Three of us are in the culinary industry and one is an accomplished pastry chef. We really wanted to like this place, but the product quality is terribly inconsistent from one item to the next. The cakes & frosting are completely inedible. Although the we gladly paid the over $25.00 for three pieces of cake, the price of the specialty cakes is laughable; the Vegas theme cake is over $600!!! Amazingly, the stunning and impeccably made cakes by the renowned Jean Phillipe bakeries at Bellagio & Aria are 1/2 the cost of the sub-par grocery store quality of Wonderland Bakery. It's so sad that Wonderland's product is inedible and plastic in every regard. If you walk by the store, keep going. Don't spend your time or money here, and certainly don't assualt your taste-buds with the hydrogenated shortening, inferior recipes, and amateur technique employed in making product that looks interesting but tastes horrific. We've tried to like it, but this place will fail you unless you're a little girl whose eyes & imagination do the eating but who's palate is too immature too discern how revolting the product is. Barbie's plastic mouth & body would love Wonderland, but humans shouldn't tolerate it.
