| - I went back to Big O, only to find the previous manager had left and the new manager was Andy. I took the car in for a 60,000 mile tune-up. The assistant manager quoted me approx. $675 for the tune-up and $650 for new tires. I told him that was too much. When I went in to just pick up my car, the manager Andy came up to me and told me he had a special deal for me. He said that the tune-up (including shocks, struts, spark plugs, etc.) and tires would normally cost approx. $2,300 but he would give me a discount for approx. $1,900. So the manager actually offered me a worse deal than the assistant manager. I said "no" and took my car to my own mechanic way on the other side of town. My mechanic explained to me that my car DID NOT need shocks, struts, or new spark plugs. My car had 100k spark plugs in them and did not need changing. My mechanic charged me approx. $282 for the 60,000 mile tune-up. I then took my car to a different tire place and got 4 new tires for approx. $354. So I spent approximately $676 for what Andy wanted to charge me approximately $1,900. Needless to say, I don't plan on returning to this location so long as Andy is the manager. But, more importantly, I felt obligated to give others a heads up that this is the type of business Big O is now running under the new management team.
