| - I had an object hit the top of my car where the windshield meets the metal and it caused damage to the body and windshield.
I went in and spoke with them and received a quote and they helped me through the process with the insurance. B&R said they would do the body work and painting and they would sub-contract out the repairs for the windshield to be completed on B&R's property. They then set up a date for me to bring in my vehicle.
I dropped the vehicle off on Monday and expected the repairs to take four to six days. I would receive daily text message updates.
On Wednesday, I was contacted and told that I could pick up my vehicle. Upon arrival we saw our vehicle in the parking lot and went to check out the completed work. The body work and paint looked fantastic! However, the molding and trim piece around the windshield was not properly installed and it was missing the end caps. Also, inside of the vehicle, there is a shrouding covering wires from the rear view mirror that was not reinstalled and laying in the cup holder. We notified the manager at B&R and he apologized and said that they would have that fixed and call me back when the vehicle was once again ready. (This should have been inspected by B&R prior to notifying me that the vehicle was ready).
I received a phone call from B&R on Thursday (day 4) that they were going to order new molding/trim and have the windshield company come back out to install it.
I received a phone call mid day on Friday (day 5) that my vehicle was once again ready. When we got to B&R we informed the receptionist and she said she would have the vehicle pulled around. About 15 minutes passed and the receptionist hadn't returned and we had not seen the vehicle. We then hear someone asking other B&R employees where the keys to our vehicle was, one employee made a phone call and after about 20 minutes our keys were located and the vehicle was pulled around. (At this point, I was slightly annoyed). Once the vehicle was pulled around, we went to inspect the vehicle and the windshield molding/trim were now properly installed and looked great. However, the shrouding for the rear view mirror still had not been reinstalled and a service tech pulled the vehicle around and had the issue fixed (which was originally addressed on Wednesday-day 3).
Overall, the staff was great and worked with us to make sure that we were satisfied. The body work and paint looked great. The only issue we had involved their sub-contractor who installed the windshield.
I would suggest the following to B&R: Inspect all work, even that work completed by the sub-contractor prior to informing the customer that the vehicle is ready. Address all issues previously brought up by the customer. Also, make sure that the vehicle keys are located prior to the customer arriving to pick up the vehicle.
Based on this experience, I would be hesitant to take my vehicle back to this location of B&R.
