| - The Inn itself deserves 5 stars, such a relief to find a lovely place for all things birthing, after moving to PHX from Brooklyn and Pittsburgh, where I was a doula and taught pre-natal yoga, I hoped to find another place I could feel at home. The 3 stars here is because I had a subpar post-partum massage experience with Pam. She seems lovely and knowledgeable, but my body is literally still shaking off the tension accrued from that massage. She never asked if the pressure was okay, she told me what she was going to do, she did not ask me what I wanted her to focus on, and what I did share with her, she hardly incorporated into the massage. Massages can be medicinal and healing, but that was not my experience unfortunately. Perhaps it was an off day or end of the day thing. After the massage she said goodbye to me by going in for a hug, which Ive never experienced before with any massage therapist ever, in all of my travels. It was a bit lacking in consent overall as an experience and that is weird. But a great center can have variations and even good people have off days. It was important to share though.
