TL;DR - Jimmy's can do haircuts on female clients, and I'm happy with my experience and will probably visit again soon.
It's great to have a place to get a inexpensive haircut close to my house without needing to make an appointment. I tend to decide I need a trim on the fly, and find playing phone tag with hairdressers to be stressful, so I'd rather go to a walk-in place. Now that I'm wearing my hair very short, I'm tired of paying the same amount of money that I would for a complicated long cut, and seems like most female hairdressers are scared to cut hair very short. Either that or they want me to have to come in more often for a trim. I like to go a little shorter so I can go between cuts longer.
Some general advice to women wanting to visit a barber shop - Be there for a "men's" cut and already know exactly what it is you want. I still struggle with the right terminology but I always bring a picture with me to help. Some barber shops can do long hair, but you would be better off going to a traditional hairdresser for that. Jimmy can do a good short cut though, he spends extra time doing the details right. And the price is great, too.
