Went to my first Phoenix Rising FC game yesterday. It was a great experience, especially with the small stadium and being so close to the action. Great family friendly atmosphere and good fans. I really want to see this club succeed and eventually have an MLS franchise in Phoenix!
PROS:
-Futbol, futbol, futbol! Drogba!
-Parking is free! Getting in was OK -- but getting out was much slower. YMMV. I wonder if they could add a second exit onto McClintock?
-Reasonable prices on merchandise -- $21.75 for a Rising shirt!
-Adult beverages available.
-Bathrooms were clean and not a long wait.
-Energetic bands playing for the entire game on the south side of the stadium!
CONS:
-I didn't see any recycling containers available. There was a lot of plastic and aluminum cans that ended up in the trash.
-The sound system is terrible. I was on the east side of the stadium and I couldn't understand a word that was said.
NEUTRAL:
-Can get hot if there's no breeze. But hey, this is Phoenix in the summer, what did you expect!?
