  • So I called in today to make a reservation for 5 people on Saturday. First, I had to call twice for someone to actually pick up the phone. Then when I finally got an actual human voice speaking to me, the lady rudely put me on hold without letting me speak. So okay fine, I was making this reservation for my family so I'll bear with it. 5 mins later the lady got back to me and I asked her for a reservation on Saturday. She spoke really quick so I was also pressured to answer quick. The conversation was basically like this: Me: Hi I would like to make a reservation for 5 this Saturday. Her: Okay let me check. There is 3:00 and 3:30 (or was it 5:30? I wasn't even sure if those were the actual times because she spoke so quick) Me: Um 3:30? Her: Sure 3:30 (or was it 5:30...) for this Saturday August 25. *HANGS UP* I was sort of in shock how quick she spoke and almost felt like it was rude. Also, because it was done so rushed I wanted to call again to double check if the reservations were made right. Obviously it took several calls to actually get connected with an actual person. I even tried calling Windsor Arms itself and they just reconnected me to the voice machine. :S So finally, this other lady picked up the phone for the tea room. She sounded less in a rush so that was a plus. Then I told her that I wanted to double check my reservation and possibly change the time if it was done wrong. Then she went to check the bookings and said that MY RESERVATION WAS NOT THERE!!! She asked me when did I make my reservation, and I told her that it was just an hour ago. Apparently it was impossible because the tea room is FULLY BOOKED UNTIL AUG 31!! So I said that's confusing, and sort of hope that they'll do something about it or at least compensate or squeeze me a time, just something. But she kept silent and just said that the other person must have made a mistake. THERE WAS NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY! In the end I gave up, and didn't want to bother with them anymore. Moral of the story, Windsor Arms tea room (not sure about the hotel itself) has shitty service and they don't acknowledge their mistakes and take their customers for granted!!
