  • My initial reaction to my hotel room was very positive. Nicely furnished and with an outdoor terrace looking over the City. Unfortunately, that is where the pleasantries of my stay ended. My first disappoint was with my room location. After accumulating many Marriott points and redeeming over 100,000 points for a three night stay (advertised price was $110/night) my room was located in the lower floors of the West Tower. Traveling over 150+ days a year I have soon realize the lowest end rooms tend to be at the lower levels. And my fears were confirmed. Next was how unclean my room was. Water streaks on the bedroom mirror, streaks on the bathroom lighting, a desk with dust, and a TV that was intermittent. Third, during my entire stay I never once received replacement wash cloths. Fourth, I was highly disappointed in the race/book by Cantor. I did not know they no longer had parlay cards and pushed hard to have you sign up for their phone app (which from the reviews, only makes straight wagers). Great, just what I want on a three day weekend trip to Vegas, sign up for an account, no clue how to close it when I leave (not even sure I could) and god forbid do not be a winner. Probably end up with a 1099 and then have to document playing other slot/table games. Worse. Sportsbook. Ever. Do not even get me started on trying to cash a Cantor Cosmopolitan wager at the Cantor Hard Rock. Long story short, you cannot. Any property with a Cantor book is off my list for any future stays. Fifth, somehow I missed the small print when booking my room and had a nice $28/night "resort fee" or over 25% of the advertised room rate. Again, any property that forces a "resort fee" I will no longer be a guest. Thankfully, one of the Caesar properties was across the street and made my stay much more pleasant. The terrace room views was excellent (nice to be higher) but the quality of the room and casino left much to be desired. Pass on future stays.
