I drove five hours to pick up a vehicle, ended up getting completely scammed by the finance manager.
My first mistake was trust. Never again will I trust anyone selling cars. The finance manager was fairly nice, offering to have me sign a blank contract so I could get back on the road, since I was buying the car and driving back 5 hours. Such a peach that guy was. Turns out he was a rotten peach.
I "bought" an extended warranty, but it turns out they SOLD me a "maintenance contract" that gives me oil changes and tire rotations. They also told me I wouldn't be charged for GAP insurance, but after finally receiving the complete contract, I was charged for the GAP anyway. The finance manager specifically knew I lived five hours away, so that makes it all the more ludicrous that I would need oil changes that can only be redeemed in Charlotte.
I have explained all this on the phone to several people, (I've called 9 times.) and have been told twice by two separate finance managers that they would get back to me and refund the total amount of the maintenance contract and GAP insurance. I have heard nothing for months.
I spoke with a very courteous lady that informed me that she wasn't surprised by this, as the finance manager had been fired for things exactly like this.
I've been promised multiple returned calls and a refund. I have received NOTHING.
This business reeled me in with a decent price on a car, but has totally failed in customer service.
