Update: I spoke with Brian in Retention Services who was very apologetic for the way I was treated and worked hard to I've me incentives to stay. After reviewing the reviews of the carrier I was going to switch to it seems that while you may have to keep reaching up the chain of command and threaten cancellation of services, Directv is the best option. I hate their customer service but I enjoy the TV service. Once the initial problems were resolved my TV has been great and I like the fact that you can record 3 shows at once. Sticking with the evil I know over the horror stories I have read online about Century Link.
