We did three rooms here and consistently it was a fun theme, creative puzzles, good game masters and an accurate level of difficulty based on the room's rating.
I appreciate the tech of their hint giving system but actually hated carrying around an iPad, pen and paper from room to room. Caused a lot of frustration having to go back and locate things in dark rooms. Probably would have preferred doing the rooms without it. Added an extra star for addressing my concerns quickly!
More detailed reviews by room below:
DISTRICT ZERO:
This room is simple but does a fun job of capturing the spirit of a dystopian competition. It's really watered down challenges compared to most escape rooms but gave enough flavor to immerse players in that world. Definitely recommend this one for a group of 4 or more, but even for our group of 2 we enjoyed it. Medium level difficulty. Really straight forward room and fun interactive puzzles.
DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE:
This one was very immersive, true to theme and had great puzzles. We didn't escape but it was a fun room but probably one of the hardest we have ever done. Definitely do this room with at least 4 people who have experience. They say it's the hardest room they have.
Mild spoilers: We noticed this room especially had puzzles that create many ways to waste your time going down the wrong path which is the reason it is hard to escape in time. We wasted a lot of time on the first peephole puzzle because we overthought the orientation of the puzzle. We also wasted a lot of time trying to overthink the hat puzzle. There is also a lot of confusing red herring details in the tea room puzzle that stumped us for a bit. Otherwise, I thought the puzzles were fair and interesting.
IRON KINGDOM:
The room sets were very cool but for some reason the puzzles were a little more attenuated from the theme than the other rooms, but this one was pretty linear and straightforward. Had to use a few hints but liked the theme. Not sure how the ending solved the issue we were trying to solve, but it was cute. I would say 3-4 is good enough for this room. This one was on the easier side.
