| - There isn't much I can say about Costco as a brand which will be new to you, there a large company with stores across the globe, a bigger face in the USA, but a growing presence in the UK. This particular store is in the Trafford Park retail park, very close to both an ASDA, Starbucks, B&Q, Krispy Crème and also The Trafford Centre, one of the countries largest shopping centres, which is a building I despise, but across the way is this really nice retail park.
This branch of Costco is one of the larger stores I've visited, much larger than my local, regular store of Chadderton, I noticed a different approach here with a different set-up of items, as well as someone actually scanning membership cards as you go in, instead of just looking at them, which is good for security and making it more exclusive and members-only, which could stop someone buying a card once and just going in everyday for the samples and trust me, this store has a lot of samples.
Sample stalls seemed to pop-up everywhere, even on a Monday they was lots of samples for pizza, chips, coconut water, spam to name a few, and they was actually a lot more. The staff here seemed nice and friendly, much better than the ones at my local branch of Chadderton.
This store seemed to have a good stock of items, most of them being reasonably priced because it is bulk-buying, although it was a shame not to see any Smartwater which they normally do have, but weirdly sometimes don't, instead mainly stocking Harogate water and their Kirkland Signature brand.
They seemed to have a good range of mostly everything else and it was a nice store in general, but due to its' size, it was pretty easy to get lost in, and this store is a warehouse, which is what Costco prides its-self in being and should be,
I didn't notice a petrol station, like what many stores have, including my local store of Oldham which has just had one newly built in the past few months, but I could be mistaken.
Overall, this is a nice store in a nice location and is one of the better branches in the area, and definitely deserves 4 stars, I once again am pleased to confirm I agree with this place's average rating, once again by consolidating it with a much deserved 4 stars.
UPDATE: After some consideration and multiple visits since my original review in April, I feel there is some more things that need to be said, but there isn't enough to warrant a new review, I feel issues on some factors such as pricing, high traffic making this place somewhere to avoid unless you are in the area, being near such as large shopping mall in the Trafford Center, and a small range of samples on some other visits, giving it less of a special feel and making it feel more average, I sadly feel this Costco deserves a demotion to only 3 stars.
