  • A large group of us dined here for lunch on Saturday afternoon at the recommendation of our host friend who frequents this place. This super casual restaurant is located in a small strip mall of sorts. It was featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" for its unique flavor combos, pairing Mexican and Chinese cuisine. Ordering can be a little confusing at first, but our friend helped us out. They also have someone at the counter to explain/answer questions and give samples upon request. Once you're ready to order, tell them what you want (or give them a completed order slip, available at the entrance), give them your name, and then go sit down; they bring it all out to you. Everyone was very friendly. I got the Chili Relleno and Veggie Salad Combo in a bowl with the Jerk Rice and Black Beans. The salad is just a salad topped with shredded cheese, and didn't come with dressing, but they had sauces at the register that went well with it. The rest of my dish was out of this world delicious. Hot and fresh, and relatively quick -- did not disappoint. The rest of our party enjoyed their meals as well! Fountain beverages available. Orders come with a cookie; they had snickerdoodle and chocolate lava. I tried both -- both were so yummy. Lots of seating in the dining room. The restaurant itself needs a face lift and/or a really deep clean scrub down badly. Tables were dirty in general, too, though the place was pretty busy. Definitely a "dive"...but one that is absolutely worth visiting. Good experience overall, and if we lived in the area, I'm sure we would go back!
