  • First it takes forever to get ahold of someone at Ontrac. I called during a duration of 3 days and have always been left on hold for 50 minutes plus. That is ridiculous. Second when I called Amazon.com to have them connect me to Ontrac, I finally got a phone call. The person who called me was named CHRIS. He called me and when I picked up, he just stayed silent and I had to guide him into what was the purpose of my call. I did not receive my package. Then he said that the reason he called was because Amazon.com said I can pick it up. I explained that I can to a certain extent and want to know where the facility was. He said it was in Menlo Park and I told him I lived in Daly City and it would take 30-40 minutes for me to get there which defeats the purpose of the convenience of ordering online. I asked if there was something closer and he said no. I asked if it was possible to have the driver re-deliver and call me when he is here and I will get it from him. He said yes and they can do it on Monday so I said that is fine. But then he goes into telling me that it is not guarantee because the driver is not permitted to use the cell phone. I said ok well why did you say okay then because clearly that would be an issue. I told him I understand that the driver cannot use the cell phone to call me so can they radio Ontrac and then Ontrac can call me? And then I can go pick it up and he said they cannot do that. At this point, I told him because you are the shipping company, what are my options? Since clearly Ontrac should be the one providing me with the solutions and not me. CHRIS pretty much told me that either they can return the shipment to Amazon and cancel my order or I can pick it up in Menlo Park. At this point, I told him fine he can return it. This complaint is for CHRIS who stated that he worked in Arizona HQ. I am formally lodging a complaint against his poor customer service and his bad attitude. This is not how you treat customers. I have also reported my experience with Amazon.com. Update: Guess what. The email contact on the website doesn't work so you cannot write a complaint to Ontrac. Guess they don't care about customer service. SMH why do these online retailers use Ontrac? They should be out of business. Ridiculous!
