This place has existed for so many years, I think you would need a true local to figure out when it opened. I knew kids that went there when I was a teen, but roller skating lost is luster when I was around 10 years old.
Met a friend there with our kids. It was $11 to skate, which includes skates. $2 off if you have your own skates. There is a snack bar that only takes cash and charges $2 for a soda in a styrofoam cup, which my daughter proceeded to spill because there was no lid.
The kids had fun. Gave them a couple of dollars for the games. We went home and my daughter was pooped.
However, the places has carpet from the space-age of the 70s. The metal benches are being held together by duct tape. The bathroom "soap" are small particles. I don't purposefully go there, but if my kids are invited, I find my suck it up factor and go.
