I came here to pick up an electrical adapter for an upcoming trip to Europe (gotta bring my hair dryer, you know!). I didn't really know anywhere else that I could look for adapters, so I bought one here from the helpful sales associate for about $5. A few days later I was picking up a guide book at Chapters in Crowfoot, and noticed they sell the same adapters for about $1 less.
If you need specialized help and expertise in purchasing your travel accessories, the Travel Store might be good for you. Just know that you're paying more for their low volume of turnover. If you're a pretty independent shopper, you're probably better off piecing together the things you need from Chapters (which has a fairly large section near the guide books), Mountain Equipment Coop and a local drugstore.
